When asked what they do for a living, most people will respond by simply reciting the products and services they have to offer. In ourSell With a Story course, we help our customers create a story to tell.

For most people, telling a story can be a challenge - where to start, how to get there and where to take it aren't always easy to articulate. Not everyone is born a great storyteller, and some stories are certainly better than others, but everybody can learn how to do it and everybody can create a relevant story. Storytelling is a bridge that you design to take your audience from where they are on a topic to where you want them to be. Your goal is to move the audience intellectually and emotionally and what you'll find is that they retain information better when they can connect with what's being said.

During our two day course, with the guidance and expertise of our Ty Boyd faculty, your story evolves into a clear, compelling picture of how you add value and offer solutions. It's not a story that tells people what to think, but rather a story that shows your audience what happened in a similar situation and how your existing customers benefited from your offering. Unlike the listing of facts, telling a well-told story creates curiosity and when you create a story that resonates with a customer, you undeniably stand out from the competition.

Of course, how you deliver your story makes all the difference in the world. There are stories that make you say, "Wow!" and there are others that make you think, "Hmm, so what?" The coaches at Ty Boyd will help you craft a powerful story based on a winning combination of words, tone, pace, timing, and inflection. Over the two day period, you have the opportunity to fine-tune and present your story many times so that when you leave the course you are comfortable inserting your story into any conversation.

The ability to offer solutions by telling a well-crafted story is one of the best things you can do for your career because everybody needs to be able to stand out and differentiate themselves. Every business professional is in a consultative selling position whether you are introducing a new system, developing a new product, hiring a new employee, or selling a product or service. And every great speaker is a great storyteller. So, how are your skills?
