Sell With a Story is an opportunity to re-sharpen the skills that were acquired in Excellence in Speaking® while mastering your relevant story. During the two day course, you will learn how to craft a story that entertains, simplifies and inspires while discovering how your story can compel an audience into action. Whether it's convincing somebody to join your organization, selling an idea to the board, or demonstrating the benefits of your products and services, a story will authentically capture your purpose in action.

How does this work?

Prior to the start of the course, a Ty Boyd coach will get the ball rolling by scheduling a conference call to discuss your personal story. Then, during the course, with the guidance of our faculty, your story will evolve into a clear, compelling picture of how you add value and offer solutions. It isn't about telling people what to think, but rather showing them what happened in a similar situation and how your existing customers benefited from your offering. This will create curiosity and when you finally have a story that resonates with a customer, you will stand out from the competition.

Of course, how you deliver your story makes all the difference in the world. There are stories that make you say, "Wow!" and there are others that make you think, "Hmm, so what?" The coaches at Ty Boyd will help you craft a powerful story based on a winning combination of words, tone, pace, timing, and inflection. Over the two day period, you will fine-tune and present your story so that you can easily insert it into conversation.

You will also learn how to incorporate PowerPoint to create effective and professional looking presentations that greatly enhance your audience's understanding of your message. With the help of PowerPoint, you will learn how to best use the software to engage your audience and make your point while keeping in mind that you are the one telling the story, not the slides.
